Canadian businesses now required by law to report significant data breaches
30 Oct 2018
As of November 1st, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) will require Canadian businesses to report significant data breaches to the Privacy Commissioner. Businesses will also need to notify affected individuals of the breach and retain records of all breaches in order to be compliant with the new federal legislation.
We are passionate about your business. If you have any questions about how this might affect your organization, send us an email at email@example.com. For more information about the legislation visit the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s website.
